I have been going through a nostalgic phase and wanted to regress back to my teenage days of VS Pink body sprays and sweet scents. Imagine the original base of pink sugar combined with florals - that floral being an Angel Trumpet bloom.

The result is a vinyl scent like an inflatable pool toy, and also, a vintage car dashboard that has been baking in the sun all day. This perfume will not only leave you smelling fantastic, but it will also give you a sense of confidence and well-being. Im a gourmand girly who loves sugar scents but i can easily see how the sugariness of this one could be headache inducing to some. Think Pink Sugar DNA, this is absolutely Pink Sugar and you know it is, i don't know how to explain it, but you know that is what perfume DNA is all about baby! It opens with top notes of green fig leaves, juicy Sicilian orange and vibrant bergamot that reveal a playful heart of lily of the valley, red fruits and liquorice blossom; once these notes dry down you find a gourmand base of creamy vanilla, indulging caramel, musk and woodsy accents.

In my opinion this isn’t as bad as people make it seem, on initial spray I get zero alcohol which is super nice, it opens up with that pink sugar DNA with that licorice and and lots of orange like a caramel orange and I really don’t get coconut in the opening. I much prefer the dry down over the very seet opening, as time passes by and you get a whiff of the scent it’s much milder and not as sugary sweet, and I get much more of that brown sugar and fruity notes!

I think it may be the licorice that my skin doesn't like, as I seem to have this same issue with other frags that have a licorice note. It's VERY gourmand which is what people will point out when noticing this perfume on me (usually it's a comment about smelling like some candy or dessert).Sweet, with an intense aroma, but not heavy (if you don’t bathe in it) and above all tolerable for all the public.

I was particularly interested in this having the word “creamy” in the title and coconut and vanilla notes (which I love). I wish it lasted longer and I wish there was an exquisite dry down but it stays consistent, and it disappears on me after a few hours, maybe three. But once I let this sit and develop on my skin, it becomes much prettier and much better, in my opinion.I sprayed this around 9 PM (Friday) and was still able to detect the vanilla in the afternoon the next day (Saturday). It's not for you if you only accept niche and sophisticated scents into your heart and on your vanity, like if you expect to smell Montale or MFK in this candy cane you'll definitely be disappointed. Tonka beans give it some depth, the dry down gets a bit woody which I like but not as much as the licorice note here.

Pink Sugar by Aquolina is an Eau de Toilette for women belonging to the floral frutal Gourmand family. Easily the best Pink Sugar flanker i personally have tried, and as strong sweet and addictive as the original; but definitely also the most divergent from the pillar.It transfers to your skin/clothes slightly but you get a vague vanilla/caramel scent instead of a mimosa-heavy one. if angel’s power is more obvious and in your face, pink sugar hides hers in her coach purse until the time comes. I agree with one reviewer who mentioned that there is something rubbery about this, which might not be everyone's cup of tea. Unfortunately this does NOT have the lasting power or the sillage that the OG Pink Sugar has, which is extremely disappointing.
